Wilmetta "Willie" Punt, 66, Corsica, died Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at Good Samaritan Society, Corsica.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Grace Reformed Church, Corsica. Burial will be in Aurora Reformed Church Cemetery, Aurora Center. Visitation will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. today at the church, with an 8:30 p.m. prayer service.

Mount Funeral Home, Platte, is assisting with arrangements.

She was born on Feb. 24, 1944, in Corsica to Arthur and Florence (Maas) Huizenga.

She attended grade school in New Holland and graduated from Dakota Christian High School. She continued her education at Nettleton Commercial College in Sioux Falls and was a bank teller for Bank of the West, Corsica.

On Oct. 16, 1964, she married Gershom Punt at First Reformed Church, Harrison.

They lived in Washington and South Dakota.

She was a member of Grace Reformed Church, Corsica.

She is survived by her husband, two daughters: Wyla Punt, Corsica; and Laura Howard and husband Kevin, Fitchburg, Mass.; three granddaughters, four brothers: Arnold Huizenga, Renner; Ray Huizenga, Lynden, Wash.; and Norm Huizenga and Roger Huizenga, both of Platte; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law, Iris Huizenga.
